Assembled from period English rooms, this eclectic Drawing Room/Parlor has been restored to reflect the Middle Eastern/Orientalist tastes of the late 1800s, when the room was imported to America and installed at Greystone Court. Bold wrought-iron gates opening onto a Gothic-arched Conservatory are offset by a decadent jewel-encrusted hearth inlaid with amethyst, lapis, turquoise, quartz, shells, and semi-precious gemstones from around the world. French Rock crystal chandeliers hang from an English ceiling bearing cyphers of aristocratic European families. Eastern and Southern exposures. Early morning light.
